Feb 2006 was when we started. March 2021 We still are blogging.  Its April and despite of the COVID-19 Vaccination drive, new variants of the virus have started surfacing in India.  New Curbs may be introduced this month to address the spread/ resurfacing of the virus.  Are our regular Bloggers are listening. The Next phase of CoWin2.0 gets rolled out today with registration being opened across government apps. People above 45 years will start getting the vaccine. (citizens will be able to register and book an appointment for vaccination, anytime and anywhere, using the CoWIN 2.0 portal or through other IT applications)

March 2021 Posts













Feb 2006 was when we started. March 2021 We still are blogging.  March is a cruel month in India because of the rising temperature, water shortage, and year ending financial operations. Many of our bloggers have abandoned visiting the site, we have had only 1comment in February and faithful Peter marking his attendance every month.
The CoWin2.0 gets rolled out today with registration being opened across government apps. People above 60 years and those with co morbidities in the 45 to 59 age bracket will start getting the vaccine. (citizens will be able to register and book an appointment for vaccination, anytime and anywhere, using the CoWIN 2.0 portal or through other IT applications)

February 2021 And We continue to Blog on













February, another new month,  look forward to our bloggers wooing their Valentines, month for some of our silent visitors to come out of the closet and mark their attendance.... We Missed out blogging in Jan 2021. On January, 17, 2021, we started our whatsapp group as Stanes High School-Global and a proud moment for us with many Alumni coming together. The group is almost full with representation from around 1955 onwards.

  Last year February started with a Bang, a Proud Moment for the School and specially ISC Batch of 1979-80 our Alumni, Arvind Krishna was announced to be the CEO Designate of IBM, he took over the reigns once Ms Virginia Rometty stepped down in April 2020.

About the Author

Peter Ernest Greene was born in 1951 in Cochin, Kerala, India. Peter belongs to the Anglo-Indian community. He left Cochin at the age of four and lived in Coonoor and Ketti in the beautiful Nilgiri District of Southern India.He studied at Stanes Higher Secondary
School in Coonoor and joined the Indian Navy in 1969 in the Electrical (Radio) branch. He saw action in the Indo-Pakistan war of 1971 and was awarded the Sangram Medal, The Poorvi (Eastern) Star and the Nao Sena Medal. In 1977 he was sent to the Soviet Union for training at the Naval Officer’s College in Izmail, Ukrainian Republic. He learnt to read, write and speak in Russian. He was part of the Commissioning crew of a Soviet built minesweeper at Riga in the Latvian Republic. Peter left the Navy in 1980 as a Petty Officer. He met and married June Yates in Bangalore, India and has two sons. Peter
and his wife June now live in Windsor, Ontario, Canada and Peter works for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.
