Come September, The Monsoon clouds play their magic, torrential rains in some parts with accompanying floods and regular woes in some parts, Many Areas in the world hit by drought and heavy rains... Mumbai and North  Karnataka been in the news with massive rescue operations to bring succour to the flood affected people. Our Alumni Association has been very active back in Coonoor, lots of activities reported on facebook. The August Rains and poor alumni response forced the school to postpone the 160th Celebration. India's Mission to the Moon ended on 07 Sep 2019 with communication being lost with Vikram.

It s August 2019 and we await to Celebrate 160 Years of Stanes in the Nilgiri Hills.The Monsoon clouds are around, Fairly heavy rains in Mumbai and the city has been treated to some heavy showers and floods the last few days

April 2019 Blogs- Announcing opening of registration for Stanes Reunion 2019-Celebrating 160 years of Stanes in the Blue Hills

April is another cruel month in India because of the rising temperature, water shortage, and year ending financial operations. Coonoor has been reeling under severe drought and water crisis, Reilly Dam is dry. All of our bloggers have abandoned visiting the site, Preparations  for The Parliamentary Elections are on with Elections starting from 11 April to middle of May 2019.

A lot of progress has been made by the Principal and Alumni Core Committee celebration of our School's 160th Year and Alumni Reunion- "Celebrating 160 Years of Stanes in the Hills"

March 2019 Blogs Announcing Stanes Reunion 2019-Celebrating 160 years of Stanes in the Blue Hills.

Feb 2006 was when we started. Feb 2019 We still are blogging.  March is a cruel month in India because of the rising temperature, water shortage, and year ending financial operations. Many of our bloggers have abandoned visiting the site, we have had only 3 comments in February and faithful Peter marking his attendance every month. The Parliamentary Elections have been announced and preparations are on to welcome a new Legislature by the end of May

The Principal and Alumni Core Committee have been burning the midnight oil to put together a setup for celebration of our School's 160th Year and Alumni Reunion

February, another new month, a time to celebrate the  Birthday of Our John, look forward to our bloggers wooing their Valentines, month for some of our silent visitors to come out of the closet and mark their attendance.... With January 2019 reporting only die hard Blogger Peter visiting the ... lets look forward to more stories ....

Tentative Program for August 2019 to Celebrate 160 Years of Stanes and an Alumni Reunion
14 August 2019
(a) 14th arrival and registration. tea will be hosted by the school.
(b) Meet of arrived alumni in School Hall for do's and don'ts.
(c) Dinner at respective places of stay under own arrangements
15 August 2019
(d) 15th morning parade and alumni march as a contingent.
(e) Lunch to be hosted by Alumni for staff present and past along with alumni.  Approx 106 staff (past and present).
(f) Post lunch visit the school / classrooms,  take photos also the school will arrange a photo booth. Sale of memorabilia .
(g) 15th evening bonfire and dinner at Vivek along  with Ivan & Eric for the music and sing along.
16 August 2019
(h) 16th half day the past vrs. Present matches. Refreshments served by School
(j) Lunch under own arrangements
(k) Post lunch visit to haunts on own arrangements
(l) Dinner and dance with DJ at Vivek.

17 August 2019

Dispersal from Coonoor under own arrangements

Since the entire event would be on a self finance mode, we look at our alumni participating both in physical as well as monetary terms.

Once the finalised program is ready, the same would be on the school official website along with links for registration.
