March 2011 blogs

Feb 2006 was when we started. Feb 2011 was a repeat of 2010, saw the least number of comments. Time takes its toll on everything. March is a cruel month in India because of the rising temperature, water shortage, and year ending financial operations. Pranabda has also not sprung any surprises this budget.

This is the 112th post of StanesSaunter. One of these days we may get a msg. from Google informing us that we rate high on the longevity scale. Until then let us keep commenting. Much of our personal triumphs and disasters are shared here. What better audience can encourage us to treat both imposters just the same?

Wishing you all a Very happy and prosperous 2011

What can be said in New Year rhymes, That's not been said a thousand times?
As we swiftly glide toward the end of 2010,
Many of us in the photosphere turn our thoughts to the changes we wish would
come true in the New Year ahead.
In this regard, we would like to make one wish that no matter what future
bring to us but lets create a beautiful and productive world around us.
May god cherish each one of us and help us to get our desired goals in life
with good health .

Wish you and your Family a Happy & Prosperous NEW YEAR 2011 !!!!!

August 2010- Stanes Blog looks for Alumini Attendance

AUGUST

The Indian Independence Day Month is around, Autumn sets her brown eyes on the world, lets start August Comments Here

July indicated that we are all not serious about heaven and hell its presence and absence. Consensus appeared to be "live and let live". It also showed that we are a repository of great knowledge but refused to share and the blog has a paltry attendance of 30 Posts. With Cloud computing being the buzz these days, hope our alumini do not consign our blog into the clouds. Let us tap into it and maybe a tip here or a suggestion there will give us a $ billionaire.

APRIL

APRIL FOOL GO TO SCHOOL,
TELL YOUR TEACHER, THAT YOU'RE A BIG FAT FOOL.

There was no political correctness in the 60's. The term "big-fat" never existed then. A spade was called a spade! Those who had front teeth angled outwards (excessive overbite) were called "Coxy"! Timid guys were called "Pusky"! Stingy guys were called "Marwadi Kanjuse!(My apologies to the Marwadi community). Girlish guys were called Pottais!(My apologies to the girls). My elder brother who was rather plump, was called "Fatty Bumbalatti"! Those who carried tales to teachers were called "sneakers"! Our chairman Mr. Enwright was called "Murclick"!Perhaps some of you can add some more derogatory terms that were in use.

Wishing You all a very Happy and prosperous new Year and a Great 2010

What can be said in New Year rhymes, That's not been said a thousand times? The new years come, the old years go, We know we dream, we dream we know.We rise up laughing with the light, We lie down weeping with the night. We hug the world until it stings, We curse it then and sigh for wings. We live, we love, we woo, we wed, We wreathe our prides, we sheet our dead.We laugh, we weep, we hope, we fear, And that's the burden of a year.

SEPTEMBER and March towards 150 year CELEBRATIONS

The months passed by quick this year
And now you see September's here
There's a whispered secret in the wind
SESQUICENTENNIAL bounces off the ear.
Listen close and you will find
The hidden wishes in your mind
The dreams abandoned months ago
No longer wish to be denied.

AUGUST

AUGUST
Agustus, Agusta. Agustus yes! Agusta no ! she sounds too foreign. Not a common name in India.
July indicated that we are all serious about heaven and hell its presence and absence. Consensus appeared to be "live and let live". It also showed that we are a repository of great knowledge. Let us tap into it and maybe a tip here or a suggestion there will give us a $ billionaire. If nothing else nellikais will bloom and ants will meet their maker.

Anybody married to JULY?

Julius Caesar gave July its name. Reminds us of the Watson production. Louis Pasteur tested the vaccine in July. Reminds us of the wonderful establishment. The worth of being born again is being weighed, let's check its weight. May the argument continue.

Monsoon for some Summer for the others . JUNE

Roses are red, violets are blue, they don't get around like dandelions do. These are lines that came up during a google search for poems about JUNE. True, most of us regular StanesSaunterers are dandelion transplants. Keep yapping.
